The goal of this project was to create a website to be used for fans and listeners to connect easily to Kaufman and The Psychology Podcast.
The podcast was featured in the December 2014 issue of NY Magazine and has achieved around 15K visitors in its first month of launch.
In order to create a great, new experience for the user, we took into account the needs of mobile devices, tablets, and desktops alike. The site was created with intent for use in all the modern browsers.
For preliminary research, we held client discussions which defined the end-user, as well as conducted a competitive analysis in order to explore the competition.
We then created new brand assets including a new logo, chose fonts, and selected colors. We also acquired photography and selected social media icons for use throughout the site.
The new site was developed with WordPress, making it simple for the client to upload new items to the site, and change current images and verbiage throughout the site. The site child-theme was created on the Twenty-Thirteen theme foundation, with a completely custom homepage. The site is responsive and coded with CSS3 and HTML5. The TPP site included a custom-developed header on the homepage, which displays recently posted items in a slideshow.
We also included plugins for analytics, and integrated Mailchimp for inbound marketing for the Podcast.
